Taking a Bite Out of a Ghiradelli Square

Chomp.

We were in town for a friend's wedding at Stanford and decided to spend some quality time in SF, as well. According to the Alpaca, quality time in San Francisco means one of two things: (1) eating clam chowder from a sourdough bowl; or (2) eating chocolate from the Ghiradelli store at Ghiradelli Square (http://www.ghirardellisq.com/ghirardellisq/).

What the Alpaca wants, the Alpaca gets.

We also had lunch at a quaint little restaurant called Nick’s Lighthouse (http://www.ctguide.com/show_area/restaurants/nicks_lighthouse/). Husband ordered the biggest burger I’ve ever seen with some really good french fries, and there was little doubt about what I was going to have: the clam chowder in sourdough bowl, of course. The food was good, even if the restaurant is a bit dated. Ask for a table with a view of the water.
