The sun was shining on Key Biscayne, just off the coast of Miami!

We'd just gotten back from a cruise and wanted to spend a day on Key Biscayne, so we booked a room at the Sonesta Key Biscayne (http://www.sonesta.com/keybiscayne/). The resort was lovely, but we were dismayed to learn that the kayaks and non-motorized sports touted on their website as complimentary and available to all guests were actually available only at a steep fee. Complaints regarding this did not get us anywhere with management. So despite having a good time there, we would not choose to return to this hotel.

We had meals at very forgettable places, but one thing that was not forgettable about this trip was a flight school located between the airport and cruise ship pier with a very odd sight in front:
